Paris in the snow

The weather is starting to warm up as is the wedding season! For the next several months we’re going to be busy busy with weddings in Paris and en province and enjoying the lovely French summer.

But we do love an elegant winter wedding, so if you’re toying with the idea of an end of year fête here are some fabulous photos of a winter wonderland wedding we did in a snow-covered Paris last December.

Press room: Fête in France on Style Me Pretty!

We were very excited when our friends at One & Only Paris Photography told us that Style Me Pretty would be posting photos of Angeli & Tim’s wedding from this past December. As with all press, you’re always left wondering when exactly you’ll be published – and yesterday the wait was finally over!

Holiday wedding – Paris in December

Angeli and Tim hail from Canada and although they were planning a large traditional wedding for February 2011, they decided to have an intimate affair in Paris so that family based in Europe could celebrate with them.

We’re always happy to have weddings to plan in the “off-season”, and it’s even more of a pleasure when we get to work with a couple who are truly great together and a joy to be around.

There were so many unique elements of this wedding: the bride’s quest for lavender Ferragamo pumps, her amazing boudoir shoot with One & Only Paris Photography, the gorgeous greenery arrangements & silk orchid bouquet (the bride is allergic to pollen!), the placecards with Eiffel Towers made out of antique stamps (the bride’s DIY touch), the keys attached to each couple’s box of Ladurée macarons… and of course the magical setting of the Place Vendôme, all lit up for the holidays.

Winter Wonderland Château Wedding

Most people think warm weather for a wedding but the winter wedding is under rated in our opinion! Here are some pictures from a château wedding we organized yesterday. The ceremony took place in the chateau’s chapel (which was specially heated for the occasion), followed by a cocktail hour with a champagne fountain and roaring fire. Next guests were treated to a French meal of foie gras, scallops, rack of lamb, local cheeses and a pièce montée, (French wedding cake) for dessert. Decor was silver, white and violet with lots of candles and lighting for that extra dramatic effect!
