Wed among fine wines in a traditional french vineyard…

Set amongst the flourishing vines that soak up the year-round Languedoc sunshine, this charming old vineyard was once a large domain for wine production. Today, its owners have renovated the Chateaus’ old ‘Cave’ (cellar) into a beautiful wedding venue. It’s a perfect setting for any couple that would like to marry in a place soaked in the history of wine production, a culture that the French hold dear.

For a winter wedding you might like to hold your reception inside the grand walls of the Old wine hall; not only are you surrounded by the ancient cuve’s (barrels) once used by the chateau but the staff can also serve you a glass of the delicious local Coteaux du Laguedoc wine from the original wine press that has been transformed into the bar.

For a summer ceremony, the garden or vineyards make a wonderful setting from where to receive your wedding blessing. If you’d prefer a church wedding, the village church is approachable by horse and cart. For an evening celebration, the candelabras and Chinese lanterns adorning the sheltered courtyard provide an ambient, inviting atmosphere in which to receive your guests for your reception.

The house and its cottages (which sleep up to 38 guests in total) are perfectly equipped to suit your needs. On sight chefs cater for all evening dining, which can range from intimate family BBQs to larger style banquets depending on your wishes. Whilst you’re there, you and your guests can take art courses in the grounds, play a round of tennis on the courts, or simply soak up the sun relaxing by the pool.

Why not let a beautiful setting, some fine wines and the glorious south of France sunshine provide the backdrop for your big day?

Holiday wedding – Paris in December

Angeli and Tim hail from Canada and although they were planning a large traditional wedding for February 2011, they decided to have an intimate affair in Paris so that family based in Europe could celebrate with them.

We’re always happy to have weddings to plan in the “off-season”, and it’s even more of a pleasure when we get to work with a couple who are truly great together and a joy to be around.

There were so many unique elements of this wedding: the bride’s quest for lavender Ferragamo pumps, her amazing boudoir shoot with One & Only Paris Photography, the gorgeous greenery arrangements & silk orchid bouquet (the bride is allergic to pollen!), the placecards with Eiffel Towers made out of antique stamps (the bride’s DIY touch), the keys attached to each couple’s box of Ladurée macarons… and of course the magical setting of the Place Vendôme, all lit up for the holidays.

Carla and Morgan, both from Florida, came to celebrate their special day in Paris with a couple of close friends.  They exchanged vows in a small garden, near the Eiffel Tower followed by lots of little French treats.

A Summer Fresh White Wedding

Our franco-british clients had a lot going on in their lives between their busy work schedules and an international move which meant not a lot of time to dedicate to their wedding.  We at Fête in France helped them pull together their day which took place at a fabulous château just an hour from Paris.  The couple had a romantic outdoor ceremony under an archway of trees.  Guests were then invited for a cocktail on the terrace of the château with gypsy jazz music provided by a group of musicians whose percussionist provided the beat by tap dancing.  Dinner and dancing late into the night was held under a tent – decorated all in white.
