Photogenic couple Tiffany & Matt tied the knot on one of the few sunny days in Paris this summer. Along with many of our brides this season, Tiffany chose gorgeous hues of purple for her bouquet and decoration. Everything was beautifully captured by the great team at One and Only Paris Photography.
We even managed to pull of a guerilla champagne and cake tasting on the Champ de Mars following the ceremony!

Holiday wedding – Paris in December

Angeli and Tim hail from Canada and although they were planning a large traditional wedding for February 2011, they decided to have an intimate affair in Paris so that family based in Europe could celebrate with them.
We’re always happy to have weddings to plan in the “off-season”, and it’s even more of a pleasure when we get to work with a couple who are truly great together and a joy to be around.
There were so many unique elements of this wedding: the bride’s quest for lavender Ferragamo pumps, her amazing boudoir shoot with One & Only Paris Photography, the gorgeous greenery arrangements & silk orchid bouquet (the bride is allergic to pollen!), the placecards with Eiffel Towers made out of antique stamps (the bride’s DIY touch), the keys attached to each couple’s box of Ladurée macarons… and of course the magical setting of the Place Vendôme, all lit up for the holidays.

Late December Wedding in Paris

We were lucky to work with some great clients on December weddings – winter weddings are such a treat!
Our final 2010 wedding was for Julie and Terry who came to celebrate their wedding and ring in the new year in the city of light!
And they did manage to have light (at least a little) for their photo shoot around Paris – which is rare in the gray month of December!
We loved Julie’s “old world glamour” style – especially the fascinator and the fur wrap.
After a long day of taking photos they arrived at the restaurant to do a personal exchange of vows.

Carla and Morgan, both from Florida, came to celebrate their special day in Paris with a couple of close friends. They exchanged vows in a small garden, near the Eiffel Tower followed by lots of little French treats.

Anchors away!

We don’t often get to see our clients before they arrive in France for their wedding. So it was a treat to be able to work with newly expatriated couple Elizabeth and Nathan. Athletic, all-American and keen sailors (on the bride’s side) they had chosen to have their ceremony and reception on one of the elegant boats that cruise the Seine in Paris. It was abundantly clear that a nautical theme was in order and we helped them go all out.
Guests arrived in bateau chic attire and were delighted as the bride and father of the bride cruised up in a Venetian water taxi. The ceremony began and guests (and the neighboring boat) watched as Elizabeth and Nathan tied the knot. The boat set sail and an accordion and clarinet duo added a festive tone to the cocktail – it was Fête de la Musique after all!
The reception followed and the room looked resplendant in navy and white, tall calla lily centerpieces, thematic table names (bow knot, square knot, clove hitch…) and elegant calligraphied escort cards and menus. The meal was topped off by the presentation of a traditional French pièce montée de croquembouche and a champagne fountain poured by the couple.
The couple opened up the dance floor with their first dance to “Sailing” by Christopher Cross and as usual, the young crowd closed the place down.

Romantic Small Wedding in Paris

We were contacted by a couple at Christmas time this year looking to have a romantic elopement in Paris. With only one month of planning and the holidays in between we sprung into action to make their wedding vision come true. Here are some pictures from their day which included getting ready at a private apartment by the Eiffel Tower, a wedding ceremony in an elegant salon of a 5 star hotel and then a tour of Paris for pictures. They and their two friends ended the special day with a dinner at a restaurant under the Eiffel Tower.
PS. His green suit fortunately was just for laughs
