An elopement in Paris

We’ve been very busy at Fête in France for the past few months so we’re finally catching you up on what we’ve been up to. You might have seen our post for the “A touch of red wedding” and here are a few pictures from an elopement wedding that we organized for a couple from Canada this September.

The couple rented a very retro-chic 1972 Citroen DS to chauffeur them around Paris for the afternoon.  They exchanged vows in the Gardens of the Rodin Museum.  For those of you paying close attention you’ll notice that the bride has two different bouquets in the pictures.  She accidentally left her bouquet on the Pont Alexandre III while taking pictures and only realized it just before she was about to walk down the aisle.  Luckily, green hydrangeas were in season and with a few quick snips, Fête in France whipped up a new bouquet on the spot.

Carla and Morgan, both from Florida, came to celebrate their special day in Paris with a couple of close friends.  They exchanged vows in a small garden, near the Eiffel Tower followed by lots of little French treats.

This spring we were contacted by the Baltimore Sun to take part in a special “Great Escapes” section. We sent along a photo from KHulett Photography and were excited to see our name in print. Which you can, if you squint hard and look at the bottom of the page.

Romantic Small Wedding in Paris

We were contacted by a couple at Christmas time this year looking to have a romantic elopement in Paris.  With only one month of planning and the holidays in between we sprung into action to make their wedding vision come true.  Here are some pictures from their day which included getting ready at a private apartment by the Eiffel Tower, a wedding ceremony in an elegant salon of a 5 star hotel and then a tour of Paris for pictures.  They and their two friends ended the special day with a dinner at a restaurant under the Eiffel Tower.

PS. His green suit fortunately was just for laughs

Spur of the moment elopement in Paris

Spur of the moment elopement in Paris

Romantic Wedding in ParisI got a call 2 weeks ago from a couple looking to have a symbolic wedding in Paris on December 28th. Two weeks to pull together a picturesque wedding with the Christmas holidays looming…pas de problème. With that Fête in France sprang into action and set up the couple with not one, but two, fabulous photographers, a chauffeured car to take them around the city for photos, a hair and makeup appointment at a local salon and a celebrant to perform the ceremony. Now, where to have the actual ceremony that was both intimate, romantic and budget friendly? In our very first conversation the couple mentioned to me the name of a restaurant that they had a wonderful memory of in Paris. With that detail in mind, I checked out the restaurant further and was able to reserve for them a private salon with a beautiful window that overlooks a secluded place in the center of Paris. Here are a few pictures from the talented One and Only Paris Photographers – Audrey and Anthony.
