Getting Married in Paris: Part 1

The beauty of this incredible location embodies the fundamental reasons why people love Paris: art, gardens and architecture. Home to the works of art of one of France’s most celebrated artists, this venue has even more to boast about than its possession of famous contributions to modern art.

The stately museum is surrounded by spectacular gardens in the middle of Paris; having a wedding here is like having your own private gardens in the heart of this wonderful city. Capable of hosting both ceremony and reception, the gardens comfortably host an intimate wedding up to approximately fifty guests which can be followed by a casual reception. While the gardens and artwork create a lovely scene, its central location also promises proximity to many of the choice Parisian landmarks for many more lovely photo opportunities.

Several of our couples have selected this well-esteemed location. American couple Heather and Tyler chose it for their intimate ceremony.

Ryan and Mandi enjoyed the beauty of the grounds despite a bit of rain.

Sydney and Jeffrey had a fantastic day for their celebration! For more lovely details, click here.

This venue is a truly amazing place to have your wedding in Paris. If this has piqued your interest and you have further questions, contact us – we would love to talk to you!

Parisian Elopement

This charming couple, Corry and Clayton, from Memphis, Tennesse, came to Paris to celebrate their special day with an intimate group of immediate family members. It was a beautiful summer day in June that made the bride’s palette of saturated colors really pop. The always talented team of photographers at One and Only Paris Photography did a wonderful job capturing the day.

Perfect Periwinkle

This summer Fete in France were delighted to descend to the Dordogne region for the wedding of Anna and Anthony. The regions promise of all year round summer weather didn’t disappoint and the couple said there vows under a perfect blue sky. Against the pale backdrop of the beautiful 18th Century chateau Anna’s choice of periwinkle blue for her bouquet and decoration gave the perfect fresh summery touch to a wonderful summer evening. Special thanks to the gifted photographer Kevin and Katie Hulett that did a marvelous job capturing the day and to chef Amy Jurist from Amy’s Culinary Adventures that created a delicious culinary experience for all involved.

The breath-taking view.

French wine, French bread, French fields, oui!

A celebratory end to a truly wonderful occasion.

Katie and Lawrence decided to elope last July in Paris.  The original plan was to have the ceremony in a garden of a private mansion but when the skies opened up we quickly put plan B into action and created a warm atmosphere with candlelight all around the fireplace inside the house.  The bride’s wildflower bouquet was created by Frédéric Garrigues.  The talented David Bacher captured the couple and the day’s events.

Press room: Style shoot featured in Pacific Weddings

We had the good fortune to work with Corbin Gurkin on the charming wedding of Faymi & Eric, so we of course jumped at the chance to contribute to the style shoot she had planned for her next trip to Paris. We were very excited to be included in the shoot along with many of the wedding vendors we admire: Sugarplum Cake Shop, Ceci New York, Delphine Manivet and of course, Karine of Sol y Flor, our go-to florist in Paris.

Up in Montmartre on a morning in early spring we set a tablescape in tones of watercolor nudes and peaches, using custom-made linens and heirloom pieces from our personal china cabinets. We also made use of some beautiful objects from Karine’s boutique, such as her gorgeously patinaed iron table and pewter vase.

We think the final effect is quite lovely… and for more photos check out Corbin’s blog!

Press room: Fête in France in Martha Stewart Weddings!

Faymi & Eric got married last summer in Paris, with an intimate group of (very chic) friends and family. We were very excited when the couple, along with their photographer Corbin Gurkin, informed us that the photos would be featured in a bridal magazine…

The wait was long, but worth it!

In addition to the 2011 Travel Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings, Faymi & Eric’s wedding was also featured on marthastewartweddings.com and 100layercake.com!

Wedding videography: Yes, it’s worth it

Having a great photographer who will capture the moments big and small is an essential part of our clients’ weddings. And of course we love posting our couples’ wedding photos – we get to see the beauty of the day, the bride and groom, and all of the decor details that we helped bring together.

As for wedding videography, most of our clients don’t give it much thought. And if they do, their thoughts are of the cheesy/low-quality/drunken-uncle’s-inappropriate-speech wedding videos of the past.

Well, say hello to the wedding videography of the future:

With an end result like this… Really, who wouldn’t want a beautiful, artistically crafted mini-film as a memory of your wedding?
