One of the benefits of being a wedding planner is that we get invitations to industry events. These events, thrown by venues we have worked with, equipment rental companies, or other vendors in the industry, are a way for the vendor to show off their new menu or new line of art de la table. For the invitees, it’s an excuse to shake hands with the vendor rep you don’t often get to see and then make a bee-line for the champagne and canapés.
We love when people request to have their wedding in Paris, because we get to propose one of our favorite venues: a boat which cruises the Seine. The scenery is spectacular, the food is delicious and the staff are welcoming. Our preferred charter company has thrown two events in the past 3 months, and Anne and I got to attend. Ce n’est pas beau, la vie?
